Greenfield Farm has been in existence since 1991 and is own by Mark and Sandra Myers of Rembert South Carolina (Sumter County). Greenfield Farm was once part of the Spencer Plantation where Sandra's Parents and Grandparents sharecropped the land in the early 1900's. The farm has sixty (60) acres of coastal hay fields, and several acres of wooded area for recreation and comfort. Especially known as the host spot for the annually event held in the month of May. The Black Cowboy "Man or Myth" African American Cultural Festival (www.blackcowboyfestival.net). The inspiration for organizing the festival in 1997 emerged from the realization that children in the community had never seen a black family with horses and had no knowledge that African American Cowboys existed. The festival has provided an opportunity for many attendees to research another aspect of the rich culture and history of African American heritage.
